Sunday. While the crowd in different parts of the Philippines celebrates the victory of Manny "PACMAN" Paquiao, I am stuck here in the office, working. I just got off the phone with Edith (pronounced as Ee-dith) after booking a hotel for our pilots when this add caught my eye..

Wang Lee Hom will continue his "Music Man" concert next year and Macau will be the first place he will be performing in 2009.
Wang Lee Hom “MUSIC MAN” World Tour
Wang Lee Hom ‘MUSIC MAN’ World Tour will perform in the CotaiArena™ at the Venetian® Macao on 10 January 2009 after its overwhelming success in Taipei and Shanghai.
Co-presented by the Venetian® Macao and Emma Entertainment, this much anticipated concert event will see the full US$1.5 million set bought to Macao from Taipei, along with a full team of production staff and dancers originating from 8 different countries around the globe.
Continuing the popular ‘futuristic’ style, the concert will bring to life the ‘MUSIC MAN’ experience for all fans, including a US$25,700 electric guitar ‘Bahamut’ designed by Irish guitar master Alistair specifically for this tour.
Playing hit songs from his previous albums, Lee Hom will also combine Chinese and Rock music in a spectacular fusion for a selective repertoire of songs from his latest album ‘What’s Wrong with Rock’ – this is an event not to be missed!
Now, this is what i definitely want for Christmas! Of course its a package deal: Plane tickets going to Macau, a day or 2 stay in The Venetian Macau Resort Hotel and a ticket to watch his concert ! hahaha! I wish I could go and see him personally :)
Anyway, for reservations and other details, Please click here.
i just realized, It’s been a while since I have played video games. Even if my baby has an Xbox360 at home, I never really had that urge to play games anymore. Not that I don’t like the games, I just don’t have the attraction to the games my baby have at home (No offense baby, but my heart is still with Need for speed and Tekken). Now, If I can remember correctly, the last game that I played with him on his XBOX 360 console was Soul Caliber 4 (or was it Guitar Hero: Legends of Rock?...hmmm) Sad, sad, sad...
Anyway, I was looking for some cool video games for my baby on the web when I learned that my favorite video game, Tekken, will be released next year as a motion picture. Imagine my excitement! Tekken, on the big screen. I really can’t wait for that.
The story revolves around Jin Kazama, a young and talented fighter with a dark energy within him. The Devil Gene he has inherited from his father, Kazuya Mishima, is slowly tearing him apart and consuming his mind with evil and hate. He now realizes that the only way he can save himself is to not only confront his father, but his grandfather, Heihachi Mishima, as well. Both Kazuya and Heihachi have their own agendas for what they want with Jin's power. It's coming to a head at The King of Iron Fist Tournament: a fighting tournament sponsored by Heihachi where the winner will receive 1 billion dollars, ownership of Heihachi's company, and be crowned the greatest fighter on Earth.
The film is being directed by Dwight H. Little and is currently still in production and is scheduled to be released sometime next year (not sure when but I hope it would be at least the second or third quarter of 2009).
Here are the Cast of characters of Tekken:
- John Foo as Jin Kazama
- Ian Anthony Dale as Kazuya Mishima
- Holly Marie Combs as Michelle Chang
- Charisma Carpenter as Julia Chang
- Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa as Heihachi Mishima
- Lateef Crowder as Eddy Gordo
- Nathan Jones as Craig Marduk
- Cung Le as Marshall Law
- Luke Goss as Steve Fox
- Chiaki Kuriyama as Ling Xiaoyu
- Darrin Henson as Raven
- Gary Daniels as Bryan Fury
- Candîce Hillebrand as Nina Williams
- Tamlyn Tomita as Jun Kazama
- Roger Huerta as Miguel Caballero Rojo
- Marian Zapico as Anna Williams
- Kelly Overton as Christie Monteiro
- Gary Ray Stearns as Yoshimitsu
- Anton Kasabov as Sergei Dragunov
Based on the casts, the movie sounds promising even if they are on a budget. However, to my disappointment, the movie didn’t include one of my favorite character in the game series, Hwoarang, a student of Baek Doo San in Korea and the one defeated Jin Kazama in Tekken 5. He was introduced in Tekken 3.
A few more weeks and Christmas is here once again. As early as September, we can already feel the Christmas spirit. For many, it’s the time to plan and budget for that dreadful and stressful and for some enjoyable Christmas shopping.
Since I was a kid I always write down in a piece of paper what I want to receive for Christmas and then hid it under my pillow hoping that my mom will see it as soon as she fixed my bed . Today, as early as now, I’m already making my Christmas wish list on the things I wish I could receive this Christmas. However, i'm not hiding it underneath my pillow anymore but instead, due to technology, post it online. Hehehe. Anywaym I’m just hoping it would be possible to get ALL the things listed. But then again due to budget constraints, may be one or two would be fine. A girl can dream, right? hehehe. Anyway, below is my partial Christmas list:
1. Ipod Nano or the cute Mickey Mouse MP3
2. Laptop - HP Pavillion dv5z series
3. Boots from shoecrazee or Nine West
4. Black Bag – anything that is black and is fashionable (and not that expensive)
5. Shopping spree :) - It’s been years since my last Shopping splurge so I guess it doesn’t hurt to splurge again.
6. Watch from Fossil
7. Baby Grace perfume from Beauty Bar
8. Beckham Signatures or Beckham Intimate Night for Her
9. DS Lite (his and hers! Hahaha)
10. A travel bag from Nike
11. Headset for my SE phone
12. Havaianas
13. Melissa shoes
Anyway, even if the gifts I’ll receive for Christmas is in this list or not, it’s perfectly fine with me. What matters most is that people remembered me and it’s the thought that counts. The true meaning of Christmas is sharing not the price tags of the gifts you receive. Happy Shopping!

Aside from being so adorable, I became a huge fan of this guy, Wang Lee Hom, because he is really talented and smart.
I would like to share one of my favorite videos of him. Really funny :D
My friend AJ sent this very useful email that might help us all in protecting ourselves from abusive MMDA officers who accuses us of holabaloo violations.
SUBJECT: TOOLS AGAINST MMDA OFFICERS
I just reached my limit last weekend, and decided to
take action against the abusive MMDA enforcers. I
basically called up the MMDA head office and inquired
from the Personnel Officer, Antonio Pagulayan, to
clarify their policies. Here is what I got.
If any of these abuses seem familiar to you, Mr.
Pagulayan has asked that you call either the MMDA
hotline (136) or call the METRO BASE at 0920 9389861
or 0920 9389875 and ask for an Inspectorate. They will
send inspectors to the place where these MMDA officers
are extorting, even while you are arguing out of your
apprehension.
1. MMDA officers are not allowed to group together in
order to apprehend. They are not even allowed to stand
together in groups of 2 or more. The only time they are
allowed to work together is for special operations
(probably when they apprehend groups of buses for
smoke belching)
2. Swerving IS NOT a traffic violation. Moving one lane
to the left or right is not swerving, no matter where
on the road you do it. And it is even less of a
violation when you do it with a signal. Swerving is
defined as shifting 2 or more lanes very quickly. So
you can argue your way out of this, and call the Metro
Base for help.
3. Sadly, using the yellow lane is a traffic violation
and will get you a ticket. However, buses are really
not allowed to go out of the yellow lane, so if you
see selective apprehension of private cars only, you
may complain.
4. MMDA has confirmed that your license MAY NOT BE
CONFISCATED at a traffic apprehension. The only time
they can do so is if you are part of an accident, or
it is your third violation and you have not settled
your fines yet. They are only allowed to give you a
ticket, which you can contest. He recommends actually
receiving the ticket in some instances, so that you
can report the officer who did it.
Also, you are free to ask any of these officers for
their "mission order", which is written by their
supervisor. If they apprehend you for a violation that
is not in their mission order for the day, you can
report them and they will receive disciplinary action.
Happy Driving :)

Photo
A photo can say a thousand things
But it can't say the million things I wanna say
A photo can capture the way we were
But it can't capture the way we are
'Cause you're far away
What it's like to know you
What it's like to touch you
When you told me that you loved me
were those just words
You can't tell me you don't need me
and I know that hurts
'Cause I'm looking at your picture
'Cause it's all I've got
Maybe one day
You and me will have one more shot
Timing lost minutes and moments
And I might be lonely girl
But I'm not afraid
In a second
It all comes right back to me
Nothing's forgotten now
Yeah everything's saved
What it's like to touch you
What it's like to know you
When you told me that you loved me
were those just words
You can't tell me you don't need me
and I know that hurts
'Cause I'm looking at your picture
'Cause it's all I've got
Maybe one day
You and me will have one more shot
You were my life
you were my faith
You gave me hope every day
When you told me that you loved me
were those just words
You can't tell me you don't need me
and I know that hurts
'Cause I'm looking at your picture
'Cause it's all I've got
Maybe one day
You and me will have one more shot

Two weeks ago, I was walking in Eastwood with my baby waiting for our friends to arrive for a quiet sunday lunch. We passed by A Different Bookstore and saw the new books on the shelves and a very interesting title caught my eye - "The Lucifer Effect" by Philip Zimbardo. What the hell is The Lucifer Effect? Thats also the thing that I want to know. I didn't bother to check the book anymore cause my friends already arrived.
Last weekend, my baby and I went back to Eastwood and I've decided to check out the book that caught my attention last week, unfortunately, it's already out of stock. Well, it didn't surprise me when the clerk told me it sold out the week it was released. It really sounds interesting and I guess it is a good book. And I guess, many people are also curious of this Lucifer Effect.
I did an online research and found out that this book is really interesting. It's more on a socio-psychology genre where Dr Philip Zimbardo, a famous American psychologist, talks about understanding how good people become perpetrator of evil. Aside from that, the book also indicates a detailed chronology of transformation in human characteristics and the experiments to show the study made on the said change in human behavior. Click here for the more information and synopsis of the book.
I am planning to grab a copy of this book on my next pay day. Its a bit expensive compared to the Paulo Coelho novels that I am collecting but I know its all worth it.

Books were never my friends when I was growing up (unless its Sweet Valley Twins or Sweet Valley High! Call that educational :p). I was never a book worm until my best friend, Hex, brought me this book, together with my favorite decadent cake from The Press Cafe and some puzzles to keep me company while I am bed ridden for a week when I had a cyst removed from my right breast 5 years ago (But that would be a different story).
I was never really interested in reading book. "What the hell is The Alchemist? and Who is this Paulo Coelho? Why can't he just bring me magazines or a new game for my game boy?" I thought to myself. Oh well, at least the book will entertain me for those moments when i really need to put myself to sleep.
I started reading the book. At first I find it really dragging. But then as I go along, I started to fell in love with the story, why? Because the book was written exquisitely by Paulo Coelho to inspire and teach readers about dealing and finding love and happiness in life. Read here for the summary of the story. But I suggest that you get a copy. It is worth reading.
Anyway, after finishing the book, I researched about the author of the said novel, Paulo Coelho and found out that he is such a brilliant man.
I got addicted to his writings that I've already finished reading two of his books, Eleven Minutes and The Zahir, and i'm planning in completing all of his creations. Right now, I just grabbed a copy of his newly released book, The Witch of Portobello and I am expecting that this would be a great novel just like the other books that he have released and created.
Anyway, I find American and English writers good, I find authors of literary pieces by from other countries (Amy Tan, Gabriel Garcia Marquez to name a few) inspirational and influential :) Thanks Bes for introducing books into my life :)

"When we meet someone and fall in love, we have a sense that the whole universe is on our side. And yet if something goes wrong, there is nothing left! How is it possible for the beauty that was there only minutes before to vanish so quickly? Life moves very fast. It rushes from heaven to hell in a matter of seconds." A touching quote that I read from a book "Eleven Minutes" by brazilian author, Paulo Coelho
Falling in love is one of the most wonderful feeling in the world. I know, its not only me can attest to that, but a lot of people. People long for the feeling of being secure with someone, the feeling that you can do anything that you want, day dream of the future. In short - we feel exstacy.
I can still remember, when i was still a little girl, I always dream of meeting the man of my dreams, fall in love and get married and end my story same as what they say in all the stories "...and they live happily ever after". Simple as that.
But now that I've grown up, I experienced falling in love. Feel the exstacy and be in cloud nine. I felt that I could do anything and everything for the person for them to realize how much I care for them. By falling in love, I learn how to sacrifice. Give whatever I can give even if it means, giving up my what i want, just to make the other person happy. By falling in love, I learned what pain really means. To accept whatever comes my way, whether its good or bad, with open arms, better understanding and with no questions asked. By falling in love, I learned to be selfless, prioritizing the happiness of others rather than my own happiness, swallow my pride and accept reality. They never told me loving someone would be difficult. I never realized also that by loving someone, I'd shed countless tears.
But alas, even if I've discovered the other side of love and exerted everything that I can give to make the person love me in return and fulfill the dream that i have when i was a little girl, they would still brake my heart and leave bitter memories.
I am not saying that until now, I am bitter in love. As they say experience is the greatest teacher of all. It made me even stroger and maybe wiser. And even if I experienced pain and suffering in loving someone, i never lost hope to find true happiness in giving love to others. Cause if I did, I would never have found the person who loves me the way I love him.

Anyway, for today, i just want to keep it short. I want to share something to you guys and hope that this will make a difference in your life. My friend Dindin email this to me and it really did make a difference in my life :)
This should probably be taped to your bathroom mirror where one could read it everyday. You may not realize it, but it's 100% true.
1. There are at least two people in this world that you would die for.
2. At least 15 people in this world love you in some way.
3. The only reason anyone would ever hate you is because they want to be just like you.
4. A smile from you can bring happiness to anyone, even if they don't like you.
5. Every night, SOMEONE thinks about you before they go to sleep.
6. You mean the world to someone.
7. You are special and unique.
8. Someone that you don't even know exists loves you.
9. When you make the biggest mistake ever, something good comes from it.
10. When you think the world has turned its back on you take another look.
11. Always remember the compliments you received. Forget about the rude remarks.
Till my next entry. :)

I do not love you as if you were salt-rose, or topaz,
or the arrow of carnations the fire shoots off.
I love you as certain dark things are to be loved,
in secret, between the shadow and the soul.
I love you as the plant that never blooms
but carries in itself the light of hidden flowers;
thanks to your love a certain solid fragrance,
risen from the earth, lives darkly in my body.
I love you without knowing how, or when, or from where.
I love you straightforwardly, without complexities or pride;
so I love you because I know no other way
that this: where I does not exist, nor you,
so close that your hand on my chest is my hand,
so close that your eyes close as I fall asleep.

The weekend was a blast. We celebrated Rory's birthday the whole weekend with all the people who's dear to him.
It started Friday evening with a crazy dinner with Rory's two best friends, Anyo and Foncee, and with Foncee's girlfriend, Novel Robles @ TGIFridays.
Then, Saturday came. We, Rory , me and Drew, went to UP Bahay ng Alumni to check the much awaited Komikon (Philippine Comics Convention), where famous and aspiring artists/cartoonist, comic lovers and supporters gather and check was is the lastest in the comic sceen. Different kinds of comics are also being sold in the convention. I even had the chance to meet and had my caricature done by Beerkada creator, Lyndon Gregorio. After scouting for possible buys, we headed to Chocolate Kiss Cafe to bond and to get Rory's birthday cake before we purchase the stuff we wanted. Finally, before we end the UP escapade, Drew, Rory and Me bonded again over Isaw Manok and Baboy at Mang Larry (near UP Post Office and Coop).
Went to meet Rory and his family at around 11am Sunday morning to have lunch at Omakaze in Libis. In the evening we met our Sunday club group in Chili's Greenhills to celebrate Rory's birthday and Jason and Joan's First Year Anniversary. Charlie catched up with the drinking session since he just had his 4 day vacation in ISLA.
Sunday Night with the Sunday Club@ Chili's
By the way, Here is my gift #1 to Rory. (Thanks to Lyndee for helping me pick this out! mwah!)

Human Relationship
Sometimes we spend time asking who is responsible or who to blame,
whether in a relationship, in a job or with the people we know.
We miss out some warmth in human relationship to give each other support.
Treasure what you have.
~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~
A boy was born to a couple after eleven years of marriage. They were a
loving couple and the boy was the apple of their eyes. When the
boy was around two years old, one morning the husband saw a
medicine bottle open.
He was late for work so he asked the wife to cap the bottle and keep it in
the cupboard. The mother, preoccupied in the kitchen totally forgot the
matter.
The boy playfully went to the medicine bottle and, fascinated with its
color, drank it all. It happened to be a poisonous medicine meant for adults
in small dosages.When the child showed signs of poisoning the mother took
him to the hospital, where he died. The mother was stunned. She was
terrified how to face her husband.
When the distraught father came to the hospital and saw the
dead child, he looked at his wife and uttered just four words.
QUESTIONS :
1. What were the four words ?
2. What is the implication of this story ?
Check with the answers only after you have
tried to come up with your own. Please scroll down
ANSWER :
The husband just said " I Love You Darling " .
The husband's totally unexpected reaction is proactive behavior. He is
indeed a genius in human relationships. The child is dead. He can never be
brought back to life. There is no point in finding fault with the mother.
She had also lost her only child. What she needed at that moment was
consolation and sympathy from the husband. That is what he gave her.
If everyone can look at life with this kind of perspective, there
would be much fewer problems in the world.
To be happy with a man you must understand him a lot and love him a
little. To be happy with a woman you must understand her a lot and love her
with all your heart. "A journey of a thousand miles, begins with but with a
single step." Take off all your envies, jealousies, unforgiveness,
selfishness, and fears AND you will find things are actually not so
difficult as you think." \^_^/
Have a great day everyone!!!!!
